Well, when it’s March it seems to snow. This is what happened last year and again this year. We all woke up to, what was supposed to be a sunny crisp day. Instead what we got was a full blown snow day. Surprisingly we all managed to get to our location, including the lovely Leona who came all the way from Blackpool.
All meeting up at the amazing Manchester Hall………
Now if like me you’ve got that Bond feeling (you can pretend!), press play and then read the blog.
Cue Sam Smith………hit it.
Wow what a place. Located in the Iconic grade-II listed limestone building, is former Freemasons’ Hall. The interior having been untouched since the 1920’s, is a hidden neo classical jewel that will be transformed into a unique space commended by English Heritage. Undergoing some serious refurbishment over the coming months, Manchester Hall’s conference and business facility centre will feature a variety of rooms that will contain between 6 and 200 seats. These can be used for business/personal events private functions, parties and weddings.
The remainder of the venue will be used to house three individual top line restaurants, a bar and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Manchester skyline. The Manchester Hall will also include a number of hotel-like bedrooms for guests using the venue. I am excited for them to preview this amazing refurbishment for your viewing and hope to be involved in showcasing this venue to its fullest potential. Take a look here to see what their vision is.
PHOTOGRAPHER- SHOT BY AMY
Her first shoot with Bridal Chic we think Amy really fulfilled the brief. Capturing some amazing shots of the bride and groom including the stunning architectural feature,s we believe she has done this building justice. Imagine what we will be able to achieve in images when its has undergone the refurbishment? Thinking outside the box to produce different styles of images, we love this through the looking glass picture.
So who is Amy?
Amy says, “I’m a proud Northerner and creative type, living in Manchester but spending as much time as I can exploring other places too. An urban girl at heart, I love to travel and I’ve got a destination wish list as long as my arm! I’m one of life’s explorers – I’m excited by the unknown and I enjoy discovering unfamiliar places and building new relationships. For me, photography is a way of life. It’s having the curiosity and courage to follow the path less travelled, taking time to notice the things that many others don’t and most importantly, it’s about not only looking, but actually seeing. “ We totally agree .
Outfits of the day were styled by Whitfield and Ward for Dominic, our groom and Ella Moore for our bride Leona, (who models from the agency, Artistic Collective).
Whitfield & Ward is a family run tailoring and formal hire business based just outside Manchester in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Specialising in bespoke suits, wedding suit hire, morning suit hire, formal hire and DJ’s, there’s a huge choice for your special day and you’re guaranteed to look amazing. From the get go, Craig and the team made us feel welcome. The fitting process is smoothly run and the staff really know their cuts and fits just by glancing an eye over you. That to me says specialists right there! Their go to Groom guide on their site is well worth a read, we really did feel privileged to work alongside them for this shoot. Dominic was wearing the navy “Highgrove” lounge suit teamed with a Prince of Wales waistcoat and paisley tie.
Just for a bit of drama a good old B&W never hurt anyone…… handsome boy.
The end result……. #stunning
The gold trim detail and cut of the dress was on point. I didn’t really know what to expect as this is the first time I have worked with a designer but I was truly stunned and actually really proud of what Laura had achieved in such a short time frame. I can’t recommend enough Laura to all you new brides. Should you wish to have your dress designed and made by this talented young lady, I don’t think you will be disappointed. I love her work ethic, dedication ( a mum of one, we all know what challenges that can bring) but most of all skill and creativity, I hope you are as supportive as we are here, at Bridal Chic. Laura is 100% one to watch….
HAIR, MAKE UP & HEADPIECE
All by the super talented Satyrion by Anneliese. We all know Bridal Chic has worked with this lovely lady numerous times, but we love how Anneliese makes her headpieces stand out of the crowd. She literally can make anything and being multi talented means you can have a 3 in 1 service for your wedding day…. boom #bridebonus
We curled the hair to add lots of body and added natural tones to the eyes and cheeks with bright red lips….. Leona looked divine.
Paragon Floral Design and Kandy Party Events gave us the details that sealed the look. We like to work with suppliers whom we can hand over the detail and let them go crazy, they are after all the experts in their field.
The flower clutch bag was just sensational, I cant even describe to how much I loved it. It was contemporary touch on the traditional bouquet filled with an abundance of floral treats.
Drum roll please……
Paragon Floral Design gives you,
” The Clutch Bouquet”
I am actually in love with this, truly I am. I want one….NOW!
Finishing off in the main room…. this awesome table display from Kandy Party is just amazing. Thinking outside the box these boys are the most loveliest guys you will ever meet and once their creative energy starts flowing, there is no stopping them. I love the energy they have its really fabulous. Boys, you are the best …. #highfives
Which leaves me to say a massive thank you to Melissa and the Manchester Hall team for lending us this amazing venue to shoot and have some fun with, your friendly hospitality left us feeling at home.
